Takacat Inflatable Catamaran Warranty Policy

Congratulations on purchasing your new Takacat inflatable catamaran. To ensure fast and easy operation on any future warranty repairs, print and fill out the warranty registration at the bottom of this page. Takacat warrants each new Takacat boat to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. The boat cannot be used in racing.

Claims against defects in parts, accessories or performance are justified as follows. In normal use (excluding racing) have both PVC & Hypalon warranted for three (3) years against defects and deterioration that affect usability as ageing, cracking, or delamination. Air Filling pipe seams are warranted for two (2) years.

Parts and equipment including high pressure deck, carry handle, "D" rings, bow, seat, lid, paddles, oars, will be free from defects in material and structure for a period of two (2) years from date of purchase.

Takacat's authorized representative will repair, or at its option, replace any of the shortcomings described above under the respective warranty periods. In the event of a claim, you must report the defect in writing. Include the model number, hull identification number, vendor name and a receipt with date of purchase, your contact details and information about what the error or defect is. Pictures of the affected area are also needed to assess the cause of action. Please email the Takacat representative you have purchased the portable inflatable boat from who will then handle your warranty claim directly.

Under no circumstances will Air Yacht Ltd or a Takacat authorized representative, distributor, or dealer be responsible for incidental or consequential damages in connection with use of Takacat Boats. Limited liability claims relating in any way to the sale or use of (Takacat), parts and accessories must not in any case exceed the purchase price of the product to which such a claim relates.

This warranty is not transferable and must have proof of purchase at the time of registration.

The following are not covered by or may void the warranty.

  • Use of higher power greater than max HP at HIN plate.
  • Misuse, abuse or neglect, such as improper docking, towing, driving, packing, transport, or storage.
  • Rental or commercial usage.
  • Collision, improper transportation, punctures, tears, abrasions, theft, fire, etc.
  • Changes and modifications to the original product.
  • Damage, such as corrosion of metal parts due to lack of maintenance, or premature wear due to improper assembly or disassembly.
  • Purchase of a demo or used boat.
  • Consequential damages
